Fiorentina are seeking to make another attempt to sign West Ham midfielder Pedro Obiang, according to La Nazione (via Goal.com Italy).
The Viola’s sporting director Pantaleo Corvino has been pursuing a deal for the Spaniard for a number of months, and is said to be also seeking to land Cagliari attacking midfielder Joao Pedro.
Obiang has stated in recent weeks that he is likely return to play in Italy at some point, but he has also made it known he is happy to remain at the London stadium, despite overtures from Fiorentina in January.
The Spaniard’s agent has however been contacted by the Viola again about a possible summer switch, La Nazione reports. The midfielder has been out of action since mid March with an ankle injury but he managed to establish himself as a regular starter before he was sidelined.
This season, the 25 year old started 28 of the 30 games he played in, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
