West Ham are pursuing a deal for Birmingham City forward Che Adams, according to the Mirror.

The 20 year old only joined from Sheffield United last summer for £2m but the Hammers have apparently seen enough in his displays in the Championship this season to prompt them to line up a bid for the striker.

Adams has played the majority of this campaign through the middle but he has also been employed on the left and right wings on occasion. His goal record of eight goals in 40 league appearances for the Blues does not indicate a prolific goalscorer but he does still have time to develop his game.

The forward has however been creating goals for Birmingham this season, having also provided six assists for his team mates, and his pace will no doubt help him to perform in the Premier League. Slaven Bilic has spoken in the Evening Standard that his West Ham squad is crying out for more pace, and it maybe the Croatian sees Adams as a possible option to improve in that area.
