Brighton & Hove Albion are interested in signing West Ham winger Robert Snodgrass, according to calciomercato.com.

The Italian website report that the Hammers may be prepared to sell the player for £7million just four months after signing the Scottish international from Hull City for £10.2million in the January transfer window.

It does seem an unlikely possibility considering the 29 year old has yet to be given a full season by manager Slaven Bilic to prove himself. There were however hints from the Croatian that he may be going in a different direction with his Hammers side next season.

In his column for the Evening Standard, Bilic lamented the teams lack of pace in attacking areas; something it seems he is keen to address in this summer’s transfer window.

Snodgrass is not exactly known for his mobility although he is an expert set piece taker and crosser of the ball. It also must be said that his goals and assists dropped markedly on his arrival at the London stadium. All nine of his goals, and all but two of his assists, came for Hull in the first half of the season. He has also only lasted 90 minutes twice under Bilic, having started eight times and been a substitute on his seven other appearances.
