West Ham winger Michail Antonio could be set to leave the Hammers in the summer, according to the Times. The 27 year old’s relationship with the club has reportedly broken down after he rejected a new contract to stay at the London Stadium.

January arrivals Jose Fonte and Robert Snodgrass were given salaries far above what Antonio is earning and the Times report that West Ham’s latest contract offer to the winger was much less than his new team mates are being paid.

With Antonio being the team’s top goalscorer with nine goals from 29 league appearances this season, it seems heĀ feels that he is entitled to parity with other players at the club. The former Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest player has four years remaining on his current deal but is believed to be set on leaving the club in the summer.

The midfielder will miss the rest of the season with a hamstring injury but he is expected to return to full fitness for pre-season training. Whether the contract dispute can be resolved may depend on whether the Hammers are willing to meet his contract demands as it seems he is no mood to climb down.
