Manchester City full back Pablo Zabaleta will sign a three year deal to become a West Ham player, according to Tuttomercatoweb.

The Italian website have followed on from reports in the Daily Mail in recent days that the Hammers have opened contract talks with the 32 year old about a potential move to the London stadium.

The right back’s contract at City expires in the summer and he is free to talk with any club to sign a pre-contract agreement in view to a summer switch.

The Argentine is still very much part of the first team picture at the Etihad stadium, having played 27 games in all competitions this season, but he hasn’t played a full 90 minutes in the Premier League since late February.

City manager Pep Guardiola has already publicly stated he is seeking to make changes to the team’s squad in the summer and it seems that Zabaleta won’t be offered a new deal to remain at the club. The defender has spent almost nine years at the Manchester club and is the longest serving player in the squad.
