Lazio manager Simone Inzaghi has been linked with the managerial job at West Ham. The Corriere Dello Sport (translated by Football-Italia.net) report that the Hammers will look to offer the Italian a five year deal to replace Slaven Bilic at the London Stadium.

Inzaghi took over from Marcelo Bielsa in the summer after the Argentinian resigned after just two days due to a dispute with the club’s owners. The former Lazio and Piacenza forward was in temporary charge last season as well but has made a very good fist of his first permanent job in management this campaign.

The Lazio boss has guided his team to fourth place in Serie A, ahead of big spending Inter Milan, and their city rivals AC. He has also helped the Italian club to the Coppa Italia final.

One major obstacle for West Ham however, if they are interested in Inzaghi, is a contract clause which would see his deal extended to 2019 if he wins the Coppa Italia or if he finished higher than fifth, which he is currently on course to do.
