West Ham goalkeeper Adrian could be set to leave the London Stadium with both Athletic Bilbao and Espanyol interested in the 30 year old, according to the Mirror.
Bilbao only have a policy of signing Basque born players so the accuracy of the report by Darren Witcoop is questionable. Adrian was born in Seville and has played in a friendly for the regional Andalusia football team. Unless he has some unknown Basque ancestry in his blood, Bilbao won’t sign him.
The Spaniard has also just recovered his spot in the starting eleven after having lost his place to Darren Randolph. It was a surprise recall against Everton on Saturday considering manager Slaven Bilic had written a column for the Evening Standard a day before questioning the logic of chopping and changing keepers.
With Everton failing to offer much of a threat to West Ham in the 0-0 draw at the weekend, Adrian managed to keep a clean sheet on his return to the first team.
