Roma have had a €12million (£10m) bid rejected by Besiktas for midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup, according to Aksam. The 24 year old is also said to be interesting West Ham, Arsenal and Manchester United, the Turkish newspaper reports.

Ozyakup has been in good form for the Turkish champions this season but the club’s president Fikret Orman has told reporters they will not consider bids for the player until the summer. He says that a sizeable bid will be needed to persuade the club to sell:

“We are currently in the running for the championship and the Europa League, we have a tight schedule and we’ll talk after this season. Ozyakup is an important player for us and [anyone] who wants him will have to bid very high.”

The Dutch born Turkish international actually started his professional career in England with Arsenal, spending four years with the Gunners where he made two League Cup appearances back in the 2011/12 season.

In 2012, he moved to Besiktas where he has become a regular first team player, and a senior Turkish international. He has played 174 times for Beskitas over five seasons, making 32 appearances in all competitions this campaign, scoring four times and providing six assists.
