West Ham are in the chase to sign Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain after the Arsenal star decided to quit the Emirates in the summer, according to reports.

The Times claim the England international wants to leave the north London club at the end of the season because he feels his career has stagnated under Arsene Wenger’s leadership.

Wenger looks set to make his own departure from Arsenal in the summer but Oxlade-Chamberlain is reportedly keen to leave the club who regardless of who is in the hot seat next season.

Oxlade-Chamberlain will allegedly reject any contract offers from the Gunners to stay on at the club beyond summer 2018.

He reportedly wants to expose himself to different training methods and tactics and move to a side where he can play an integral part in the starting XI.

The 23-year-old has been a bit-part player for the vast majority of his spell at Arsenal ever since he moved from Southampton for a fee of £15 million in 2011.

The Times report that the £65,000-per-week playeris a target for Liverpool and Manchester City as well as West Ham United.

Slaven Bilic is desperate to strengthen his squad with proven Premier League talent this summer and could yet turn to the 24-time England international.

With just one season left on his contract, the Ox would likely be available for a cut-price deal which could intensify interest in his signature.
