Scouts representing West Ham will watch SPAL youngster Kevin Bonifazi in their game against Cesena on Sunday.
Representatives from Leicester City will also be in attendance to watch the 20-year-old defender this weekend, according to Tutto Mercato.
Bonifazi has established himself in the SPAL starting XI this season, and has been key to their promotion push to Serie A from Italy’s second tier.
Slaven Bilic is reportedly desperate to plug the gap at right back for the Hammers and Bonifazi could prove a useful addition.
The young Italian would come relatively cheap and compliment Angelo Ogbonna, the Italian international signed by the Hammers from Torino in 2015.
Bonifazi began the season as a squad player for SPAL but has become a key player since November, bringing him attention from a number of Serie A clubs as well as both West Ham and Leicester.
The young defender has made thirteen starts in SPAL’s nineteen Serie B games this season.
