Manchester City have joined the chase for reported West Ham target Andrea Belotti.
The 23-year-old hotshot scored an eight minute hat-trick in Torino’s 3-1 win over Palermo at the weekend.
West Ham had a £26 million bid turned down for Belotti in the summer, according to Italian publication Tuttosport.
Torino president Urbano Cairo is said to be extremely reluctant to part with Belotti, who has scored 22 goals in just 24 Serie A appearances this season.
Belotti reportedly has a release clause in his contract set at £86m, meaning the Turin club would be forced to sell him should the huge sum be offered.
Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United have all been linked with a move for Belotti over the past year, with European giants Bayern Munich and Real Madrid also reportedly keen.
Now Manchester City have joined the fray in a development which could perhaps even see a club meet the player’s huge £86m release clause, according to Calciomercato.
Belotti is a special talent and looks destined to depart Torino this summer for a bigger club.
