3. Glen Johnson

Former Hammers academy graduate Glen Johnson would be the perfect stop gap at right back for a season or two. Johnson is somehow still only 32 and has shown at Stoke that he still has what it takes to perform at Premier League level. He would be the perfect mentor for 23-year-old Sam Byram and has always spoken of his affinity for the club he ‘reluctantly’ left for Chelsea as a fresh faced 19-year-old.
