West Ham winger Robert Snodgrass says he doesn’t feel any pressure about replacing Dimitri Payet at the London Stadium.

The Scottish international signed a couple of days before the Frenchman left for Marseille in a £25million deal but he told the Evening Standard that he feels that the Hammers are producing the right results even in Payet’s absence

“The lads have been doing great without Payet. They’ve won a lot of games over the past few weeks and have got some big results.”

Snodgrass’s West Ham career got off to an inauspicious start against Manchester City last night. The winger replaced Sofiane Feghouli on the hour mark, but was unable to help prevent the Hammers suffering a heavy 4-0 defeat.

He will be hoping for a better time of it when he is expected to make his full debut against Southampton at St Mary’s on Saturday. The Saints beat West Ham 3-0 at the London Stadium in the last fixture back in September and Slaven Bilic’s side will be seeking to make amends for that loss and to respond to their defeat against City last night.
