A devoted Hammer sadly left us recently after a brave battle against a brain tumour.

James Miles, or Jimbo to his mates, passed away on Friday at the age of just 28.

To honour him, friends of James have made the brilliant decision to organise a minute’s applause during our upcoming home match against West Brom on Saturday.

They ask that Hammers fans pay tribute to James by applauding during the 28th minute of the game:

“Please help West Ham family, a lad from our local James Miles, Jimbo to his friends, sadly passed away last friday. Jimbo was only 28yrs old and the one thing in life that he lived for was West Ham.

Even though he was battling a brain tumour he still hauled his arse to the pub to watch his beloved hammers 2 days before he died! Please can you all help me spread the word to get Jimbo a minute’s applause in the 28th minute versus West Brom! If he’s looking down it would fill him with pride!”

It would be great if the Baggies’ away fans could get involved in this too.

Rest in peace, Jimbo.
