West Ham and Everton are interested in Wolves winger Helder Costa, according to the People (via the Daily Star). They say the Premier League sides have been watching the 23 year old over the past few months.

The newspaper also reports that despite only joining the Championship side permanently in the January transfer window for £13m, they believe the Portuguese star has a £25m release clause included in his contract which the Hammers could exploit.

When asked about Costa potentially moving on in the summer, managing director Laurie Dalrymple explained that although their intention is to keep the player for the long term, they cannot rule out a potential deal. He said in an interview with the Express & Star:

“He’s not been bought just to be sold on. My understanding and my belief is we’ve bought him on a long term deal because we want him to be a big part of this club going forward. I’d be a bit of a fraud if I said he’s definitely not going anywhere in the summer because I don’t know that about anyone in the squad. But I certainly wouldn’t want to lose someone of his ability having just made such a big statement by bringing him in.”

Costa has scored ten goals, and provided eight assists, in 30 games in all competitions this season, but with Wolves sitting 18th in the Championship, he may be keen on moving up a level to the Premier League.
