5 young Argentinians who could emulate Lanzini’s success at West Ham

|

5. Maximiliano Romero

Velez Sarsfield’s exciting young forward Maximiliano Romero is just 18-years-old. He prefers to play as a striker but coach Christian Basseda has often utilised him as a wide man. He has a natural eye for goal, always looking for chances, and has that typical Argentine doggedness which characterises talents from the country. Although he is right-footed he can finish with his left and is unusually good in the air for an Argentine. Like Lanzini, Aguero and others he is a worker on the pitch and isn’t afraid to take his man on. The teenager is one of Argentina’s top upcoming talents and West Ham’s recruitment team should be keeping an eye on him. Think a young Diafra Sakho (hopefully without the injuries!).
