It’s fair to say that Manuel Lanzini had been one of West Ham’s greatest signings of the past decade.

It remains early days in terms of Lanzini’s Hammers career but the diminutive Argentine has already proved to be one of the most exciting players to don the famous claret and blue in recent years.

Lanzini was developed by River Plate’s famous youth system – and there’s plenty more where that came from in terms of young talent in Argentina.

Mauro Zarate is another Argentine who, at least in spurts, entertained the Hammers faithful with his typically South American flair, but compatriot Jonathan Calleri has largely disappointed in a Hammers shirt.

As with any nationality Argentinian players can be a mixed bag, especially given the physicality of the Premier League, but there are a number of top young talents from Argentina playing around the world who West Ham should jump at the chance to sign.
