3. Keeping Zarate quiet
The Hammers men will know all about Mauro Zarate, the oft-frustrating forward who showed both the best and worst sides of his ability during his two-year stint at Upton Park between 2014 and 2016. Zarate has a tendency to over play when given time on the ball and Slaven Bilic would be smart to keep the defence and midfield goal-side to force him to dribble. It’s imperative that Zarate is not allowed to float in behind channels and cut inside where he can really make an impact. Zarate is a player whose head can quickly drop if things aren’t going his way and if West Ham can frustrate him early on, he could have a torrid day. Just don’t expect him to track back.
