West Ham striker Jonathan Calleri is on the verge of joining La Liga side Las Palmas, according to Diario Panorama. The Argentinian publication says the 23 year old will sign “in the coming days.”
Reports in Italy today report that Fiorentina are still considering a bid for the Argentine but are waiting to see whether forward Nikola Kalinic decides to leave and join a Chinese club before making any move.
Turkish club Galatasaray have also been linked in a report by Tuttomercatoweb today as they seek a replacement for Lukas Podolski who is also China bound. They also say however that Las Palmas are still in pole position.
With head coach Quique Setien stating his desire to bring Calleri to Gran Canaria, it seems clear that the Spanish side are the main suitors for the Hammers forward, despite Calleri stating to ESPN Brasil over the weekend that he was open to a return to Brazil with Sao Paulo.
