West Ham are among four clubs interested in signing Manchester United winger Ashley Young on loan, according to the Sun. The Hammers have reportedly enquired about the 31 year old, along with Watford, West Bromwich Albion and Crystal Palace.

Young has not featured for United in the Premier League since the win over Swansea in late November and is believed to be keen on making a temporary move away from Old Trafford to get more game time.

The former England international has only made nine appearances this season under Jose Mourinho, with only five starts, but the Portuguese manager is reportedly keen on keeping his squad together during the January transfer window.

Young was said to be subject to a bid from the Chinese Super League but he seems keen on remaining in England. West Ham’s interest in Young maybe a backup plan if their move for Hull City’s Robert Snodgrass falls through.

Burnley had a £10million bid for the Scottish international accepted by Hull yesterday and the BBC report that the Hammers have also had a bid for Snodgrass accepted, although they have bid more than the Lancashire club.
