Besiktas have asked Antonio Zaza, West Ham striker Simone Zaza’s father and agent, to travel to Turkey to discuss a potential loan deal, according to Turkish news website Fotospor.

They say that Zaza’s father Antonio was expected in Istanbul for talks yesterday. The 25 year old’s move to La Liga side Valencia seems to be dead in the water after Sporting Director Jesus Garcia Pitarch followed manager Cesare Prandelli out of the door on Monday.

Fiorentina have subsequently been installed as favourites for the Italian international but their interest depends on the future of Nikola Kalinic. The Croatian is having talks with a Chinese Super League club over a staggering £42million transfer.

The Viola’s Sporting Director Pantaleo Corvino is keen on Zaza or his fellow team mate Jonathan Calleri as potential replacements but it all depends on Kalinic.

Zaza is believed to favour a return to Italy but Serie A clubs seem to struggling both with the purchase price demanded by his parent club Juventus, as well as his wages.
