West Ham are looking at signing Guangzhou Evergrande striker Jackson Martinez, according to Goal.com Spain.

The website reports that the Hammers are seeking to use the money from the sale of Dimitri Payet to Marseille on a new forward. The Colombian international joined Chinese Super League club Guangzhou last February for €42million but is now expected to return to Europe.

The former Porto striker is an experienced forward, and scored 94 goals in Portugal over three seasons before leaving for Atletico Madrid in 2015. After a brief six month stay in Spain, he joined the growing number of stars moving to the Far East.

Manager Slaven Bilic has reportedly withdrawn from the race to sign Brentford striker Scott Hogan. Sky Sports report that after three failed bids for the 24 year old, the Hammers have pulled out of the running.

Whether an attempt for Martinez will be made before the transfer window closes, or they keep with the strikers they have, it remains to be seen.
