West Ham manager Slaven Bilic is reportedly having second thoughts about his interest in Brentford striker Scott Hogan. The Guardian’s Ed Aarons suggests the Hammers boss has “reservations” about paying over the odds for a player who was playing non-league football just four yeas ago.

The Hammers have had three bids knocked back by the Bees so far during this transfer window as the the Championship club hold out for an offer worth £15million plus bonuses.

Hogan has yet to play a full season at Championship level but his goalscoring record in the second tier of English football since returning from a serious knee injury has been very impressive.

After returning to fitness mid way through last season, the 24 year old has scored 21 goals in 35 league appearances. The forward did not play for Brentford in the 2-1 defeat against Wigan Athletic at the weekend due to the speculation surrounding his future at the club.
