West Ham are interested in signing Eibar midfielder Dani Garcia according to Marca. The Spanish newspaper also report that Southampton and German club Werder Bremen are tracking the 26 year old.
Garcia has been at Eibar for the past four seasons. He spent the first two years on loan from Real Sociedad and helped the Spanish minnows to promotion to the Primera Division in 2014.
He joined the club permanently in 2014 and has racked up 167 appearances for the the La Liga side. Marca report that Garcia’s impressive performances for Eibar this campaign has attracted interest from abroad.
His current contract expires in 2018 after he agreed a new contract at the end of last year. Eibar have however offered another renewal but Garcia has so far failed to put pen to paper.
Garcia is apparently not a target for West Ham during the January transfer window but a name the Hammers will revisit next summer.
