Watford manager Walter Mazzarri is interested in signing West Ham striker Simone Zaza, according to Itasportpress. The Italian website’s sources say that the Hornets manager is a keen admirer of the forward.

The Premier League club will however have to fight off competition from Valencia whose own Italian manager Cesare Prandelli is also a fan of Zaza’s, and the Spanish club are actively seeking a striker in the January transfer window to strengthen a team which currently sits 17th in La Liga.

Vincenzo Morabito, an agent who helped set up Zaza’s move to West Ham in the summer for Juve told Juvenews.eu that the player is almost certain to return to Turin in January as the Italian international is not wanted by the Hammers. He also denied that a move to Lazio is likely because of Zaza’s high wage demands which would rule the Italian club out of the running for the 25 year old.

“Zaza will certainly come back to Juve, West Ham do not want to keep him. He might as well stay at Juventus, as Juve might need another striker. Otherwise there are a couple of solutions.”

“Go to Lazio? No, he earns too much for Lazio, and is out of their reach. Again, definitely he will return to Juve.”

So far Zaza has been unable to stop West Ham struggling at the bottom of the table, bringing them firmly into the relegation race and seeing the Hammers as a reasonable shout to use your betfred promo code on.
