It seems as though Carlos Bacca’s family could be keeping the player from joining West Ham United. The Estadio Deportivo newspaper reports that despite agreeing to a £25million to the Premier League last summer, some of his family were concerned about whether they would settle in London.

Hammers boss Slaven Bilic told reporters on Friday that he could attempt to sign the Colombian once again in January transfer window. The Croatian did however emphasise he is looking for an in form striker, who is match fit, and has experience of playing in the Premier League.

The 30 year old would not fit any of those three criteria. He has not scored since the start of October against Sassuolo, and only returned from a muscle injury as a substitute against Atalanta in the 0-0 draw before the winter break.

Although an experienced striker, Bacca would unlikely be the forward that could hit the ground running which the club need.
