The agent of Napoli striker Manolo Gabbiadini has told Foot01 that the player is interested in playing abroad. Speaking to the French website, Silvio Pagliari said that he is already talking to a number of foreign clubs.

When asked specifically about French club Marseille, he denied the link, but suggested that he had indeed been in discussions with some teams ahead of a possible move from Italy in the January transfer window:

“We’re speaking to a lot of European clubs, and we want Manolo to play overseas. I don’t know of any contact with Marseille. We don’t have a priority, either in terms of clubs or even leagues. What matters the most is the club’s long-term plan.”

Gabbiadini has been consistently linked with a move to West Ham over the past few months with some reports also suggesting that the Hammers could send Simone Zaza in the other direction.

The forward has however been struggling for form, similarly to Zaza, and has scored just one league goal in seven league starts for the Serie A club. With Napoli actively looking to replace him, it seems as though the player and agent have got the message and are looking for potential destinations abroad.
