Italian side Lazio are the latest club to be considering a move for West Ham striker Simone Zaza. The Italian website Citta Celeste reports that the Serie A club have set their sights on the forward when the transfer window opens next month.

Hammers boss Slaven Bilic has said the club is trying to find a solution for the 25 year old, and it has been assumed that a move to Valencia is close. However, it seems Lazio will also attempt to make a move.

Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi is reportedly keen to replace forward Filip Djordjevic who is expected to depart the club in January, and he thinks Zaza could be an excellent backup for first choice striker Ciro Immobile.

Any move will have to wait until the Hammers can agree a deal with Zaza’s parent club Juventus to allow the player to return to Italy, and cancel the loan agreement which currently has a purchase option in place of £20million.
