West Ham United are one of a number of clubs interested in signing Fiorentina forward Nikola Kalinic, according to the Corriere Dello Sport (via tuttomercatoweb).

The Italian newspaper states that Fiorentina will reject all offers for the player that has a €50million buyout clause. A bid from China for €40million was suggested while bids from West Ham and Championship side Aston Villa were said to be considered.

Kalinic is the the third Croatian player that manager Slaven Bilic has been linked to in the past month. Shakhtar Donetsk’s Darijo Srna and Juventus’s Mario Mandzukic have also had their names associated with transfers to the London Stadium.

A move for Fiorentina’s Kalinic does seem the most far fetched though. The buyout clause looks excessive considering the 28 year old’s goalscoring record.

Former Blackburn Rovers striker Kalinic has scored 25 goals in 66 appearances for the Serie A side since joining from Dnipro in he summer of 2015. So far this campaign he has hit the back of the net eight times in the league.
