There’s one thing West Ham need desperately more than anything else this season and that’s goals.
Effectively, the Hammers have been playing without a striker for most of the campaign for a varying degree of reasons.
Firstly, number one striker Andy Carroll is once again crocked as his creaking body continues to falter under the strains of playing football whilst other forwards like Andre Ayew have also had issues with fitness this season.
Then, we’ve got the curious case of Simone Zaza who no matter how hard he tries (we assume he is trying of course) cannot stick the ball in the back of the net and that has meant his confidence is in tatters.
A pretty toxic combination for winning games, then, and duly West Ham are sat just above the relegation zone.
Slaven Bilic needs to sign some strikers quickly in January, clearly, and we think one of these three should be at the top of his shopping list…
