West Ham will be competing with Paris Saint Germain, Tottenham Hotspur and China’s Shanghai Shenhua and SIPG to land Juventus forward Mario Mandzukic in the January transfer window, according to calciomercato.com.

The Italian website report that PSG manager Unai Emery has identified the 30 year old as a primary January target, and there will also be multi-million pound offers to compete with from the Far East.

Hammers boss Slaven Bilic has worked with Mandzukic with the Croatian national team and is fully aware of the former Bayern Munich striker’s qualities. The big question mark however is whether the Croatian international is willing to leave Juve.

He has started eight of the 12 Serie A matches this season, although he has scored just two goals, while he started last time out in the Champions League in the 1-1 draw against Lyon.

Calciomercato believe however that the return of Paulo Dybala to full fitness could limit the forward’s game time, forcing his hand and allowing a move to take place in January.
