AC Milan could raise their asking price to €40million for Carlos Bacca if West Ham return with another bid for the striker in the January transfer window, according to Corriere Dello Sport (via Football-Italia.net).

The Italian newspaper say the Serie A side may consider a bid for the Colombian but after a good start to the season for the attacker, with six goals in eleven outings, they may ask the Hammers for an increase on the €30m offer they had accepted by the Rossoneri back in the summer.

Milan are believed to already have a replacement lined up for Bacca in the shape of Genoa striker Leanardo Pavoletti. It seems though that a lot will depend on the future of Simone Zaza. The Italian was benched for draw against Stoke City at the weekend, but the player’s agent and father Antonio Zaza says his son would consider a move back to Italy with both Milan and Napoli possible destinations.

Napoli are also interested in Pavoletti so it maybe the case that whoever doesn’t land Pavoletti may consider a move for Zaza instead.
