The situation surrounding Gokhan Tore’s future at West Ham seems to have turned into a daily news headline in Turkey and the winger’s parent club Besiktas have had more to say on the matter.

Talking to reporters at the unveiling of a club store, Besiktas president Fikret Orman says he wants Tore to make clear his desire to return to the club. He is quoted by Mynet Haber as saying:

“‘You go, you play,’ we said to Gokhan Tore. If you want to return to Besiktas, you must express it clearly, as when [Ricardo] Quaresma said ‘I want to go home’. We will evaluate at that time.”

Besiktas winger Ricardo Quaresma rejoined the Turkish club from Porto in 2015 after originally departing for the Middle East in 2012.

Tore meanwhile has struggled during his loan spell at West Ham. He has been sidelined with a thigh strain since October and has made three starts for the Hammers in the league, but Slaven Bilic is believed to be trying to cut the loan short in January in order to stop the transfer becoming permanent at the end of the season.
