West Ham full back Aaron Cresswell does not believe the match against Stoke City at the London Stadium on Saturday is a “must-win” match for the Hammers.

The Potters have recovered from a shocking start to the season to sit on 12 points in 12th place in the table, two points ahead of West Ham but Cresswell told the Newham Recorder that he doesn’t believe the game could be described as key so early on in the Premier League season:

“I don’t think it is a must-win game, I don’t know why people would say that. Of course we want to win, but I think we have had some good results of late, so we are going to dust ourselves off after this one and look forward to Stoke.”

The Hammers have had an injury boost ahead of the match at the weekend. The Daily Mail report Diafra Sakho has returned to full training this week after recovering from a back injury. The Senegalese international will likely be available again after the international break.

Meanwhile the Sun reports that both Andy Carroll and left back Arthur Masuaku could be in line for a return to first team action to face Tottenham on November 19th.
