West Ham striker Simone Zaza’s agent and father Antonio Zaza says there has been no contact from Napoli or any other club regarding a transfer away from the Hammers.

The Serie A side have been heavily linked with Zaza, with a move mooted for the January transfer window, but Antonio told Corriere Dello Sport (translated by Football-Italia.net) that even though he would listen to offers from Napoli, they haven’t been in contact:

“Napoli is Napoli. If they called, I would listen. The contract is dependent on the games that Simone plays. He must accumulate 14 appearances in order for the deal to become permanent, and up to now he has played nine. So far he has not been contacted by any club, but if someone seeks me out, of course I would listen. I am available to all, but especially to Napoli.”

Antonio Zaza has confirmed what Juventus chief executive Giuseppe Marotta has also said about Zaza’s loan agreement. The move will become permanent after 14 matches, and with the Sun reporting that West Ham have no intention of allowing him to reach that milestone, it looks almost certain that the Italian international’s stay in England will be a brief one.

It will be up to Juventus, West Ham and whichever club is interested, to decide how to move forward and change the terms of the loan agreement in order for Zaza to switch clubs.
