The last international break may have only just come to an end last week but there is already another one on the horizon.
England took a win and a draw against Malta and Slovenia respectively from their last two matches to leave them top of the group and will now face a massive game against Scotland and then Lithuania as we reach the midpoint in the World Cup qualifiers for Russia 2018.
Of West Ham interest, Michail Antonio was once again called up to the squad but failed to grab any minutes despite his good form this season leaving many to wonder why Gareth Southgate didn’t play him.
Nevertheless, if he continues in the manner he has done so far for West Ham he should get another chance in November.
