Quoted in The Daily Mail former West Ham manager Alan Pardew has said that he thinks Slaven Bilic will be able to turn the Hammers’ fortunes around soon this season.

The former Hammers boss was in charge of the club for three years between 2003-2006, earning a promotion and FA Cup final appearance in the process, was speaking ahead of the London derby between his former club and current side, Crystal Palace.

The game at Selhurst Park sees Palace go into it in the top ten in the Premier League table whilst West Ham are currently in the relegation zone after seven games of this season.

Pardew, though, thinks the Croatian Bilic will soon get things right: “He’s an experienced manager – an experienced international manager – and he’ll know how to deal with it. Better than I will. I have no doubt he’ll get it right sooner rather than later.”

Bilic has been at the club since the start of last season and helped guide the Hammers to a seventh place finish, securing a play-off place in the Europa League in the process and a win against the Eagles could see them get out of the bottom three.
