With the international break over the Premier League is resuming this weekend and West Ham will be travelling to Crystal Palace, searching for three points.

The Hammers are currently 18th in the table after one win and draw from their opening seven games whilst the home side, Palace, have not lost since August and find themselves in the top ten of the table.

Slaven Bilic and his side know that a win could see them out of the bottom three against Alan Pardew’s men whilst the two sides below them in the table, Stoke and Sunderland, also face off this weekend.

In his regular BBC Sport column Mark Lawrenson has had his say on what he think the result will be and is predicting a tight contest:

“Crystal Palace are one of the form teams in the country at the moment. It’s safe to say that West Ham aren’t. Dimitri Payet got the Hammers out of jail against Middlesbrough with that superb solo goal to earn them a point. I think they would be happy with the same result at Selhurst Park.”

Lawrenson predicts a 1-1 scoreline for the London derby and a point could also get West Ham out of the drop zone if other results go their way.
