Prior to Aaron Cresswell’s unfortunate long term injury, the club had identified that cover was required.
However, now that the former Ipswich defender is sidelined for up to four months, the club need to invest in a left back who can fill the void but also provide competition for Cresswell once he returns.
There are several left backs who the club are already pursuing and will look to bring to East London as quickly as possible. Any four of these full backs would be great acquisitions for the club.
