West Ham United’s advances to sign Aston Villa striker Jordan Ayew are likely to materialise in the player moving to the Premier League side, The Birmingham Mail state.

The Hammers have just signed the Ghana international star’s brother Andre from Swansea in a club-record deal.

Jordan Ayew is facing the prospect of a campaign in The Championship following Villa’s demotion and the Midlands club’s new owner Tony Xia has insisted that the attacker will not be sold.

However, the latest report suggests that the African forward may well agitate for a move to the London Stadium and is likely to become a Hammer before the close of the transfer window.

Ayew was a rare bright spark for Villa in an otherwise dire campaign in 2015-16 and scored some excellent individual goals.

The report also suggests that Enner Valencia could be sold to West Brom is Ayew is captured by the Hammers.
