West Ham United’s hopes of landing Juventus striker Simone Zaza could well be damaged by Everton, in a transfer triangle reported by Gianluca Di Marzio.

The Hammers are in the market for a new number nine following injuries to Andy Carroll and Andre Ayew, with the Italy international said to be a major target for the London club.

However, Everton are also in the market for a centre forward and the latest report suggests that the Toffees could well land Manolo Gabbiadini from Napoli.

This would force Maurizio Sarri’s men into the hunt for a replacement and Zaza is supposedly being eyed by the Naples-based giants.

Whether Juventus would sell Zaza to a domestic rival remains to be seen, but Napoli could offer the striker Champions League football.

Slaven Bilic’s men currently have the likes of Enner Valencia and Jonathan Calleri as options in the final third, but the supporters would surely be more confident of their team’s chances if a new striker was to arrive before the end of the month.
