According to an exclusive report from ghanasoccernet.com, Andre Ayew’s agent has arrived in London to seal a move to West Ham.

Abedi Pele has discussed the finer details with the Hammers as the player’s father concludes the deal with Ayew’s new club.

The attacker was the subject of a £20 million bid from West Ham this week and the Irons have had to wait for the Swans to sign Fernando Llorente from Sevilla before having a chance of signing the Ghanaian international. Atletico Madrid striker Borja Baston is another target for the Welsh club as they look to compensate for the loss of Andre Ayew.

Pele’s presence suggests that the player is very close to a move to West Ham and the deal could be concluded in time for the Hammers’ pre-season clash against Juventus tomorrow.

Ayew is set to spark a flurry of West Ham transfer activity as the Hammers look to sign five new players before the closure of this summer’s transfer window. The 26-year-old is set to reunite with former teammate Dimitri Payet, with both players joining up for the first time since they played alongside each other for Marseille.

As well as Ayew, West Ham are still waiting on Carlos Bacca to respond to their offer. There have been some encouraging reports in the last couple of days but the deal looks a long way from completion at this particular moment in time.

Despite the wait on Bacca, West Ham’s imminent Ayew capture is another encouraging addition for the Hammers front line as the forward grabbed 12 league goals last season, three more strikes than any West Ham player managed in the Premier League last term.
