Defensive reinforcements are needed
The Hammers looked shaky in defence as a confident Juventus side grabbed two impressive goals in the first half.
Reece Oxford coped well with his surroundings despite being at fault for the third goal and the likes of Reece Burke and James Collins will also provide good support for Winston Reid and Angelo Ogbonna this season.
The big problem is in the full-back areas. Michail Antonio does not look comfortable there and Sam Byram should be playing in his preferred position of right-back. The imminent signing of Olympiakos left-back Arthur Masuaku is a big boost for the team but it looks as if a right-back is needed as well.
