West Ham have become favourites to sign one of the stand out players from the group stages of Euro 2016, as the odds of the club signing Robbie Brady have been dramatically slashed in the past 24 hours.

Leicester had been favourites, after they reportedly bid £12 million for the Republic of Ireland midfielder last week, but they are now outsiders at 6/1, with West Ham favourites at 1/6.

Some bookmakers actually cut Brady to West Ham to 1/10, after various media outlets reported that we are considering a deal for the versatile midfielder.

It wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Irishman at the club next season, as he would provide strength in depth to the left back and left midfield positions, but is £12 million a bit extortionate?

The World Cup and Euros always increases players prices, especially if they perform like Robbie Brady has for Republic of Ireland in the past month. A decent season for Norwich despite relegation, and a fantastic Euro’s has doubled his price and if he can match that form for West Ham he will certainly be worth the money.

The Express report an enquiry here, despite the fact that Gokhan Tore’s loan deal is reportedly close to being completed. With Sofiane Feghouli also arriving this summer, Slaven Bilic is clearly searching for more strength in depth to fight on all fronts next season.

We currently have no real replacement for Cresswell, if he got injured or needs a rest. Brady would also offer another option at set plays with his wicked deliveries and could be a great addition to the squad.
