The official West Ham website has confirmed the application of new seats in the Olympic Stadium as the club prepares to move into their new home.

The seating pattern includes ‘West Ham’ lettering that is fitted into the stadium’s East Stand, which can hold 20,000 fans.

The lettering features above the crossed hammers that resemble the focus point of the stadium’s seating design.

Jack Sullivan tweeted a fantastic picture of the former Olympic Stadium, now named the London Stadium in the Stratford sunset.

Meanwhile, other developments have been taking place on the Olympic site, including the placement of the commemorative stones outside the stadium.

Today, the club added a commemorative stone in honour of Dylan Tombides as part of the DT38 foundation.

The Hammers have already opened the new stadium store and final preparations are being made as the club are preparing to move into the arena in time for the start of the new football season.

In other news, West Ham completed the signing of Besiktas winger Gokhan Tore today, signing the Turkish international on a season-long loan with a view to a permanent deal at the end of the season. AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca could be the next player to join Slaven Bilic’s squad this summer. The striker’s representatives are due to hold talks with the club tomorrow as both parties try to negotiate the personal terms of a potential £26 million transfer.

So far West Ham have spent just under £15 million on transfer fees this summer and have sold James Tomkins to Crystal Palace for £10 million.
