West Ham unveiled the fabulous new home kit by Umbro at the London Stadium on Saturday evening.

The event included a freestyle footballer, rapper and DJ as a number of first team players took to the stage to reveal both the home and away kits for the first ever season at West Ham’s new home.

New signings Ashley Fletcher, Sofiane Feghouli, Havard Nordtveit, Antonio Martinez, Domingos Quina and Gokhan Tore were all present at the launch, which was organised by both the club and main sponsors Betway.

The new 2016/17 home kit is a nod to the original Thames Ironworks FC original from 1895, features a Union Jack design on the tip of the sleeves including a smart blue stripe that runs down the side of the shirt.

The new badge will also feature on the kit, showcasing the iconic crossed hammers on a bold claret background.

In an interview with West Ham’s official site, Michail spoke of his excitement about playing in front of 60,000 fans in the Hammers’ new kit:

“I really like the new home kit and it has a nice fitting. I will enjoy wearing it next season.

“It was great that we could unveil it at the new Stadium as this was my first time visiting our new home. I managed to see the pitch which looks really good.

“I didn’t realise how big the stadium was until I got inside. It is massive and hopefully the fans can create the same atmosphere that we had at the Boleyn Ground.

“It is crazy that I will be playing in front of 60,000 fans every week. To have those fans pushing us every week will help us throughout the season” stated Antonio.

Forever West Ham was in attendance on behalf of West Ham United’s sponsors Betway.
