Rumours of transfer signings are coming thick and fast for every team within the Premier League, but not many are causing quite the buzz that West Ham United are doing. We’ve known from early June that Slaven Bilić had many irons in the fire regarding players he wanted to purchase for ready for next season, with co-owner David Sullivan having confirmed at least five.

While their interest in Theo Walcott was well known and now dismissed, it has emerged over the last few days that Real Madrid star James Rodriguez looks set to be leaving the Spanish team.

Prior to this the 25 year old midfielder was linked to both Chelsea FC and Manchester United due to his displeasure at missing first team placement. But now it is said that the Hammers could be about to make a bid. While this will surely be music to many a fan’s ear, the progress new squad member, Ashley Fletcher, is making is sure to have fans chomping at the bit.

Still a relatively new signing for the club, Fletcher has scored two goals in pre-season football so far.

Fletcher has been impressive in the opportunities that have come his way so far at West Ham and it is said to have fuelled his desire to be part of the main team permanently. At Manchester United he failed in his transition from youth team to senior squad, and as such is hoping to avoid a repeat during his four years with the Hammers. Ambitious though it may sound at present, the fans have already given him their full blessing, and are excited at the prospect in store for them should he maintain this level of play.

With things looking promising for Fletcher, and a new set of team members being signed and tracked, next season is shaping up to be a big one for the club.

In fact it won’t be long before spectators are dominating bookies like Betway to place a bet on the Hammers getting the first goal in their future matches. The 2015/16 season was hugely successful and the Hammers will look to finish higher this term; it certainly seems like it could be possible if signings such as Fletcher and Feghouli keep making the headlines.

Who knows, according to the latest reports with all the rising interest in selling Diafra Sakho, there could be even more revenue for the team to further their side before the transfer window closes.
