Besiktas midfielder Atiba Hutchinson rejected the advances of West Ham this summer after being given a wage rise by his current employers, according to Kral Spor.

The Turkish club has been in the gaze of Clarets manager Slaven Bilic given his affiliation with them and a host of the Croatian’s former charges have been linked with a reunion in east London.

West Ham have already concluded a deal for Gokhan Tore, with a number of other Besiktas players being linked with a move to the progressive Premier League club.

Hutchinson is a favourite of Bilic, with the Canada international a player that the current West Ham boss trusted during his time in Istanbul.

Despite being 33, the North American is versatile enough to play at full-back or across midfield and was being tipped with a move to London.

However, the latest report suggests that Besiktas gave Hutchinson a significant wage rise to stay with them and spurn an advance by West Ham and his former manager.
