AC Milan forward Carlos Bacca has turned down the opportunity to move to West Ham and will instead seek a move to a club playing in the Champions League, Calcio Mercato report.

The Hammers have been avidly searching for a new centre forward of note all summer long, with a host of names linked with a switch to join Slaven Bilic’s men.

The London club are believed to have agreed terms with Milan over a potential transfer, but the decision has been left up to Bacca to choice whether he wants to move to the ambitious Premier League club.

However, the latest report suggests that the Colombia international is ready to spurn the chance to play at the Olympic Stadium next term and instead will stay at the San Siro for the time being.

West Ham are believed to have lost out on the likes of Alexandre Lacazette and Michy Batshuayi due to a lack of Champions League football.

Bacca has not featured in Europe’s top tournament for Sevilla or Milan since moving to Europe from South America.
