West Ham have been watching 19 year old Croatian midfielder Ante Coric ahead of a potential £10 million bid before the youngster features in the Euros in the coming weeks.

According to Talksport, Slaven Bilic is considering an ambitious move for the Dinamo Zagreb midfielder, who is reportedly being targeted by Inter Milan and Benfica, before Euro 2016, as the midfielders price tag could rocket if he performs well during the tournament.

Talksport believe that Bilic could be worth his weight in gold in securing the deal as Coric is well aware of our managers credentials, but he is also looking at West Ham because of our academy and history of bringing players through into the first team.

So who is Ante Coric?

Ante Coric is an attacking midfielder for Dinamo Zagreb, who featured against Arsenal earlier in the season. He has 10 goals in 67 league appearances for the club, and has already made 2 International appearances for Croatia at only 19.

He is the youngest goalscorer in Europa League history, when he netted at 17 years and 157 days and subsequently won the young Croatian player of the year.

£10 million seems like a gamble for such a young player who is untested at the top level, so waiting to see how he performs at Euro 2016 may be a safer bet. But Bilic knows a lot about Croatian football and if he believes that the youngster is worth the money, and could be worth significantly more in the future, then a deal could be in place the tournament starts.

The young midfielder has also been a reported target for Liverpool and Manchester City, so it would be a real statement from Bilic if he could secure the youngsters services this summer.

Some of his highlights can be seen below…
